Marisa Chun noted that, while prosecutions are down during the past three years at the U.S. Attorney’s Office responsible for investigating white-collar crime allegations involving Silicon Valley companies, the office has pursued cross-border cases that demand even more resources than the typical white-collar investigation (such as a successful economic espionage case involving sale of trade secrets to China).
