Michael Ryan said that a bill introduced in Congress (with input from the FDA), which would regulate diagnostic lab tests for the first time, has come closer on several key points than previous bills, but added that he wasn’t sure if the FDA would support the congressional proposal to create a new center to oversee diagnostics.
