Panel: Taxpayers Increasingly Squeezed Between Qui Tam and Class Action Suits

Stephen Kranz told an Institute for Professionals in Taxation Sales Tax symposium that qui tam whistleblower suits and class action lawsuits are “ going to continue to impact the SALT [state and local taxation] world,” adding that qui tam suits have even recently expanded to include unclaimed property.
