Patent Trolls May Benefit from Supreme Court Ruling

Margaret Duncan called the Supreme Court’s recent Commil v. Cisco decision “a small victory for patent owners – including patent trolls.” Because the majority decision rejected the induced infringement defense in the case, Ms. Duncan predicted it could lead to more challenges at the patent office, which could take place earlier than they have in the past.
