Russell Hayman, representing headset maker Plantronics in an antitrust suit brought by competitor GN Netcom, cautioned the jury not to award market share that the plaintiff firm couldn’t fairly earn for itself. By deciding not to sell directly to the customer base and developing personal sales relationships with clients, GN Netcom lost out on sales by its own mistakes, Mr. Hayman argued.
