Ira Coleman, interviewed on his rainmaking approach as global head of McDermott’s corporate and transactional group, said he starts each year by re-assessing his practice. “I use every January as an opportunity to reflect and get re-energized,” Mr. Coleman said. “I feel an obligation to myself and to my clients to do more and be better. There is always room for improvement, so I focus on how I’m going to work harder and smarter in the year ahead.”
