Jeffrey Wagner, chair of McDermott’s association compensation committee, said that while the Firm will not announce associate bonuses until March, it does not “have any intention of disappointing” associates by failing to match market levels of compensation. Linda Doyle, chief human resource officer and national hiring partner, added that McDermott and other firms “might make it a little harder to get those numbers” by tweaking the billing or merit requirements governing bonus eligibility.
