Dr. Jens Ortmanns led a team of 24 Düsseldorf and Frankfurt real estate, financing, public law and antitrust lawyers who advised on Germany’s largest 2017 real estate deal to date: Signa’s €1.5 billion purchase of a department store portfolio. Signa is a regular McDermott client in Germany and is considered to be one of the most important real estate investors in Europe, with more than € 10 billion in real estate assets.
