Amandeep Sidhu praised a Supreme Court decision which held that a retailer can be sued for failing to hire a Muslim woman whose headscarf violated its “look policy,” calling it “a wake-up call for companies that have used `look’ policies for discrimination.” Mr. Sidhu, a co-founder of the Sikh Coalition and active in pro bono challenges to US military rules against turbans and facial hair, continued that courts will give such policies “a harder look,” which “at the very basic level puts employers on check.” Read the full article.
