Emmanuelle Trombe described how McDermott’s multinational team helped France’s Servier structure its agreement with Intarcia Therapeutics, creating one of the largest biotechnology partnership ventures outside the U.S. McDermott’s effort meant “mobilizing its interdisciplinary platform specializing in life sciences, which overall has 135 lawyers,” Ms. Trombe said. She added that competition to reach the agreement “gives a special dynamic to this type of transaction where creativity, including in terms of legal solutions and responsiveness of internal teams counseling Servier, are key elements of success.”
