South Dakota Quickly Implementing Nexus Law That Could Challenge Quill

Stephen Kranz said that his clients have received notices from South Dakota that they must begin compliance with the state’s remote sales tax law as of May 1. Speaking of the1992 Quill decision, Mr. Kranz added that the state’s approach “appears designed to trigger litigation and appellate review to determine whether Quill is still good law.”
