Arthur Rosen recalled a 2005 Minnesota Supreme Court case on which he worked with influential tax practitioner Margaret Wilson during her three years at McDermott. “The main issue was the validity of the economic nexus statute,” Mr. Rosen noted. “However, we had a sub issue on whether the Department of Revenue had followed the required rules in the taxpayer bill of rights in Minnesota. And the Supreme Court of Minnesota agreed with us that the department in fact had not followed those rules.”
