Stephen Kranz said states should join the Streamlined Sales Tax and Use Agreement. “Some of the states that have been reticent to join Streamlined will continue to insist they don’t need to do that, but will likely see litigation arise out of that result,” he said, explaining that a state could be challenged for not simplifying its tax structure, offering technology or protecting small businesses.
