Alysse McLoughlin, speaking at the New York State Bar Association’s 141st annual meeting, cited Maine as an example of state-level tax complexity which will make integration with the new federal tax law more difficult. “Maine has an incredibly complicated method that requires you to do three different variations of your tax liability to figure out how much you have to pay,”Ms. McLoughlin noted.
