Tax Reform Targets Executive Pay, But May Raise Salaries


Andrew Liazos questioned the effectiveness of provisions related to executive compensation in a tax reform bill proposed by the House Ways and Means Committee chair. “When you stop and think about what is going on, they are turning decades of tax practice on its head,” Mr. Liazos said. “Executives can be taxed prior to being paid and amounts above $1 million can’t be deducted even if they cover services over several years.”
