Stephen Kranz related a personal experience for a humor column on travel difficulties tax lawyers face in their practices. Mr. Kranz related how he flew into Los Angeles to speak before a trade association, told his taxi driver to take him to his hotel, but later realized he was heading out of LA. When questioned about this the driver replied, Well, your hotel is in San Diego. You flew into LAX.” As Mr. Kranz recalled, “That was an ‘oops’ moment.”
