McDermott ranked number 5 among 10 large “powerhouse firms” that outpaced their peers, with women comprising nearly 40 percent of their ranks. Andrea Kramer and Jennifer Mikulina, co-chairs of the Firm’s gender diversity committee, described committee initiatives that contributed to this ranking, such as emphasis on sharing feedback from women lawyers, working to be sure that that each lawyer at every level receives the same internal assignments, and making it a point to target everyone (not just women) with diversity initiatives.
