McDermott was recognized for its 2014 performance, which saw the firm increase revenue for the third straight year, while reducing headcount and recording the best profit margin since 2007. “It was a very strong year with growth in all the right places,” said firm co-chair Jeffrey Stone, citing especially good results in such traditional core practices as health care, tax, and trusts and estates. “We grew revenue while shrinking head count in a deliberate and planned way,” Mr. Stone added.
