McDermott was involved in two legal matters that received American Lawyer Global Legal Awards, recognizing law offices that played a substantial role in the most distinguished international work performed between Jan 1, 2014 and April 15, 2015: the OGX debt restructuring as Global Finance Deal of the Year: Restructuring (South America); and the Signal International guest worker trafficking litigation as Global Pro Bono Dispute of the Year.
