McDermott lawyers worked pro bono with bankruptcy practitioners from two other major law firms to craft a novel settlement that preserved a $20 million jury award to Indian guest workers in a human trafficking, fraud and racketeering verdict against a construction company that subsequently declared bankruptcy. The case was the first labor trafficking verdict against a company and the largest labor trafficking verdict of any kind.
