David Ivill, who counsels providers about 340B, a multibillion-dollar drug-discount program, commented on a new inspector general’s report that hospitals and clinics are abusing 340B. “I don’t think it’s any coincidence … that this report comes out now, right before a proposed rule is going to be issued,” he said.
