Stephen Ryan questioned why one or several members of a legislative committee investigating impeachment proceedings against his client, a University of Texas Regent, leaked to the press a draft report about the investigation. Mr. Ryan requested that the committee provide him with a copy of the report, which he said the committee failed to treat as an official work product that should have been reviewed carefully before being disseminated.
