Gary Gertler said that many larger healthcare providers are working with and investing in the Urgent Care Center model, using these centers as a way to spread their brand in the community. However, Mr. Gertler also predicted that in 2016 the on-site urgent care model will continue to grow. “There are lots of places to put them; not just in pharmacies,” Mr. Gertler noted, referring specifically to big name retail stores.
