Amandeep Sidhu, who with the Sikh Coalition has worked pro bono to secure short-term religious accommodations for Sikh-American soldiers’ articles of faith, said that a new US Army policy making such accommodations permanent means that Sikhs in the military no longer have to go through “a lengthy administrative process” to serve.
