Overview
Eugene Goldman suggested that the Solicitor General “picked his shots” in appealing the US v. Newman insider trading case to the Supreme Court because of the importance of the issue, and pointed out that if the Court accepts the case it will “provide clarifying principles for insider trading enforcement on the scope of personal benefit when a gift of inside information is made to a friend or relative.”
