Thomas Gennertexplained Germany’s new Pay Transparency Act which seeks to eliminate gender-related pay discrimination by letting employees request pay data for a group of comparable opposite-sex colleagues. “This is intended to facilitate the enforcement of a claim for payment of non-discriminatory compensation,” Mr. Gennert said, meaning that “for the employee concerned about unequal treatment, the proof is facilitated by the information.”
