Overview
Dr. Sebastian Keding advises companies in the area of financing law with a particular focus on automotive finance projects. Dr. Keding advises various automobile and other vehicle manufacturers nationally and internationally on the optimization of their vendor finance models. In addition, he closely follows developments around distributed ledger technology and advises FinTechs on the development of their business models.
Dr. Keding is part of the automotive finance team, who support clients in the national and international structuring of automotive finance models and the related documentation, including:
- structuring and negotiating of white label cooperation models for dealer- and/or customer financing with banks and other financial service providers;
- setting up of captive models including obtaining the required licences;
- the setting up of factoring models;
- the tax law examination and optimisation of automotive finance models;
- the review and optimisation of automotive finance models under data protection law;
- the review and optimisation of automotive finance models under IP laws;
- the transition from existing automotive finance models to new sales financing models.
Dr. Keding studied law at the University of Bonn. During his studies and his legal clerkship he worked for the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) and international law firms in the areas of corporate law, insolvency law and financing law in Bonn, Düsseldorf and London.
