Stuart counsels UK-, European-, African- and American-based clients on transactions in the United Kingdom, Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa and other developing markets. He represents entrepreneurs, high-net-worth families, emerging companies, large corporates (public and private) and state-owned entities in sectors such as mining, energy, agribusiness, manufacturing, technology and life sciences.
Results
- Advised a state-owned oil and gas company on its US$575 million acquisition of Ghanaian oil and gas rights, and separately, on its US$166 million acquisition of South African oil and gas rights
- Advised a family enterprise in relation to a joint venture in Mauritius to own and exploit intellectual property in relation to an efficient platinum group metals extraction process
- Advised a European drug development company in relation to a number of joint venture arrangements for the development of novel cancer immunotherapies
- Advised a large shareholder in an African agribusiness company in relation to both the resolution of a dispute amongst shareholders and the transactions implementing the settlement of the dispute
- Advised the borrower in relation to linked term loan credit facilities (US$340 million and US$400 million) and revolving credit facilities (US$200 million and US$100 million)
