Daniel Mathias focuses his practice on cross-border private M&A, joint ventures and general corporate matters. Daniel acts on behalf of major strategics, family offices and private equity firms. He has gained significant international transactional experience whilst working in London, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

Daniel often works with US-based clients on their cross-border transactions, predominantly within the health care technology, industrial and consumer sectors.

Daniel also maintains an active pro bono practice supporting Big Issue Invest and Prince’s Trust International.


  • Advised Mondi Group (a listed FTSE 100 constituent) on its acquisition for approximately €365 million of Powerflute Group Holdings Oy from Nordic Packaging and Container Holdings, a portfolio company of US private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners
  • Advised Actuant Corporation, a NYSE-listed diversified industrial company, in connection with a number of cross-border sales and acquisitions
  • Represented Intermediate Capital Group Plc, a London-based alternative asset manager with more than €27 billion under management, in connection with its acquisition of Nadella, one of Europe’s leading producers of linear guides and rollers for industrial motion applications
  • Advised IVI-RMA Global, the world’s largest Assisted Reproduction healthcare group, in relation to a number of joint venture and other corporate arrangements
  • Advised a private group of US investors as lead counsel on its acquisition of an international magnetoencephalography (MEG) business from Elekta AB, a multinational health care corporation listed in Sweden on the NASDAQ Stockholm Exchange
