Overview
Rafael Calatrava is a member of the Firm’s Investment Funds Group. He focuses his practice on advising private fund clients on the structuring, formation and operation of investment funds. Rafael also has a background in corporate advisory matters including mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters.
Rafael regularly assists with the launching and ongoing operation of private equity and hedge fund vehicles. He also advises private investment funds on regulatory and compliance issues, including the Securities Act of 1933, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
Rafael additionally represents strategic and financial buyers and sellers in domestic and cross-border private mergers and acquisitions and also provides general corporate and commercial legal advice to clients in a variety of industries.
