Overview
Annabel Rodriguez focuses her practice on complex civil litigation and white-collar defense. She has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of high stakes commercial disputes and government enforcements matters.
Annabel has experience defending clients in investigations from regulatory and criminal enforcement agencies relating to Medicare and Medicaid billing and other government contracting issues, including negotiating with the government and managing clients’ responses to civil investigative demands and large-scale investigative subpoenas. She has a particular focus on matters involving the False Claims Act (FCA), Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, and other economic crimes. In addition, Annabel also counsels clients on compliance matters and works with companies to design, implement audit effective compliance programs.
Annabel has substantial pro bono experience including representation of indigent criminal defendants, and cases brought pursuant to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
Prior to joining the Firm, Annabel clerked for the Honorable William G. Young for the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mary T. Sullivan of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
While in law school, Annabel served as editor-in-chief for the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy.
