Sadaat Cheema focuses his practice on high-value, multi-jurisdictional commercial, offshore, and regulatory disputes. He has advised and represented a broad range of clients in banking and financial services, energy, natural resources, the automotive industry and technology.
Prior to joining McDermott, Sadaat was engaged in the disputes and investigations practice of a leading Australian law firm. He also practiced at a leading international law firm in New York where he advised clients on a number of complex civil and regulatory disputes, including Department of Justice investigations and class actions.

- Advised a leading automotive manufacturer in defence of environmental harm and consumer protection claims in proceedings in multiple US jurisdictions.*
- Advised a leading copper producer and its directors in defence of shareholder derivative claims in Delaware.*
