Overview
Shelby Perry focuses her practice on restructuring and insolvency. She has experience representing debtors, creditors, and other parties-in-interest in both in- and out-of-court restructuring efforts. Shelby represents clients in a variety of industries, including energy, retail, franchised business, and cryptocurrency.
During law school, Shelby served as a Notes and Comments Editor of the SMU Law Review Association and was a judicial intern to the Honorable C. Andrew Ten Eyck in the 301st District Court of Dallas County.

- Advised large American retailer in Chapter 11 proceedings, including a successful Section 363 sale*
- Represented executives of large Texas-based oil and gas company in suit alleging securities fraud, securing dismissal with prejudice and subsequent affirmance by the Fifth Circuit*
- Represented Pizza Hut, LLC, a global leader in the fast casual franchised restaurant industry, in connection with insolvency proceedings of NPC International, Inc., its former largest domestic franchisee
- Represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings of CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., a publicly traded real estate investment trust that owns, develops, acquires, leases, manages, and operates regional shopping malls and other properties
- Represented statutory lienholder in connection with Chapter 11 cases of large oil and gas operator
- Represented largest member of electric cooperative in connection with the electric cooperative’s Chapter 11 case
- Currently represents the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings of Voyager Digital Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded crypto company and one of the largest crypto platforms in the world
