Overview
Timothy J. Hruby focuses his practice on regulatory matters and has more than 20 years of experience in international trade matters, with a focus on trade remedy proceedings.
Tim served as senior policy analyst at the US Department of Commerce (DOC), where he regularly advised high level officials on complex international trade issues. During his time at the DOC, Tim was the lead agency representative for trade remedies issues in the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)/United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
Additionally, Tim has experience providing expert policy and legal advice on regulatory, litigation and diplomatic approaches in responding to foreign government subsidies and other unfair trade practices. Tim has participated in nearly 20 World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlement proceedings over his career, and was recently appointed to the roster of potential panelists for binational panel review on trade remedies disputes under the NAFTA and USMCA.
