Overview
Tobias Koch advises investment funds, management teams and sponsors on the structuring, formation and management of a broad variety of investment funds (regulated and non-regulated) as well as related fund vehicles and transactions, with a focus on private equity and venture capital funds. Further, Tobias advises investor-clients in relation to investments into funds of various asset classes and jurisdictions. Tobias has particular expertise in advising clients in relation to corporate and regulatory aspects of German sub-threshold PE/VC funds.
Prior to joining McDermott Will & Emery, Tobias worked for several law firms as well as an academic assistant in two institutes of Georg-August-Universität, Göttingen. During his legal trainee, Tobias worked as a Knowledge Management Assistant and assisted in connection with the revision of a commentary to the German Constitution.
