Overview
Blake Wong focuses his practice on technology transactions and outsourcing in three main areas:
- Technology transactions such as cloud computer arrangements, software license agreements, patent licenses, technology development agreements, and supply and distribution agreements;
- Outsourcing of information technology and business process services; and
- Technology aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including issues related to intellectual property, privacy, and open-source software
He also has significant experience in all stages of patent litigation involving technologies such as switched-mode power supplies and smartphones.
Results
- Represented CoreLogic in several business and data processing transactions, including a deal with Tata Consultancy Services
- Represented Monsanto in IT outsourcing transactions involving a global data center, IT helpdesk, and end user computing
- Represented an investment firm in technology aspects of multiple investments into a startup company focused on MRI technology
- Represents technology companies as primary outside counsel in negotiations for IT services and products
- Represented the defendant and secured a defense verdict on behalf of a smartphone developer in a patent infringement case involving wireless communications
