International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that the Orange County Coalition for Diversity in the Law (OCCDL) has named the Firm a Top Legal Organization for DEI. The recognition was awarded based on peer nominations, as well as consideration from the OCCDL’s Board of Directors and Professional Development Committee in honor of the Firm’s investment in the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) space and its McDermott Rise program.
One nominator noted, “McDermott has developed comprehensive policies and programming that enable[s] them to attract, nurture, retain and promote top talent from a wide range of backgrounds. As a result of their efforts, they have become a recognized leader in workplace diversity.”
In addition to the Firm recognition, Intellectual Property Associate Jiaxiao Zhang was named a Top Young Diverse Lawyer in Orange County. Jiaxiao was recognized for her commitment to pro bono, as well as her service as a Board Member to OCCDL and other leadership positions.
