DC Wolf focuses his practice on litigation and investigations, regularly handling cases involving securities, government enforcement and business disputes. He represents clients in the cryptocurrency, investment fund, securities, technology and health care sectors, among others.
DC’s litigation experience includes bet-the-company corporate governance disputes, class action and single plaintiff securities fraud cases, cryptocurrency transactions and complex commercial disputes. He also represents companies and individuals in connection with investigations and enforcement actions by regulatory and law enforcement agencies, civil cases with parallel criminal proceedings, and responses to government subpoenas and civil investigative demands. DC has extensive experience helping businesses investigate and assert breach of duty and fraud claims against former executives.
With experience in both the public and private sectors, DC has litigated in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. He tried two felony cases during a secondment with a county prosecutor’s office. DC is also experienced in binding private arbitration and mediation.
DC maintains an active pro bono practice representing survivors of domestic violence seeking to escape the cycle of abuse.
Before joining McDermott, DC served as a law clerk to the Honorable John C. Coughenour in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.

- Represented a global pesticide company and its subsidiary in asserting securities fraud and fiduciary duty claims against the subsidiary’s former executive team related to self-dealing scheme*
- Argued before the Washington Court of Appeals on behalf of victims of an online harassment campaign and won affirmance of a large jury verdict in a complex internet stalking*
- Represented the State of Washington in two separate jury trials for felony burglary and felony vehicular assault*
- Argued before the Washington State Clemency and Pardons Board and obtained commutation of the client’s life sentence imposed under Washington’s three-strikes law for “note-passing” bank robberies*
- Represented domestic violence survivors at numerous hearings in the Superior Courts of King County, Washington, Snohomish County, Washington and the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois*
