ViVE 2024 | AI: The Good, The Bad and the Governed

Überblick

McDermott partner Jennifer Geetter will be moderating the panel “AI: The Good, The Bad, and the Governed” at ViVE 2024 on February 26, 2024.

Generative AI has ushered in a new era brimming with excitement and possibilities. However, accompanying this wave are the various risks that underscore the imperative for a robust governance framework spanning legal, regulatory, and organizational levels.

More recently, the Biden framework for AI has provided an initial template for companies to adhere to. Will these guardrails be sufficient for companies moving forward?

We also know that AI models are only as good as the data they’re trained on, further emphasizing the need to vet these models before implementing them into wider systems to prevent bias. There is much to get into around the ethical implications and roadmap for utilizing AI in ways that create fair, accurate, legally compliant and socially beneficial outcomes that people can place their trust in.
