Overview
Raffi Teperdjian focuses his practice on corporate and transactional matters, with an emphasis on venture capital investments, restructuring and spinouts, asset-based lending, and related regulatory compliance for FinTech, Web3, blockchain, and other technology-driven companies.
Raffi’s experience includes drafting and reviewing a variety of legal instruments, including certificates of formation, operating agreements, voting agreements, term sheets, stock purchase agreements, intellectual property (IP) transfer agreements, derivatives trading agreements, asset-based lending agreements, and simple agreements for future equity. He has also advised technology companies in connection with strategic IP transactions and IP litigation, as well as on data, privacy, and cybersecurity matters.
Raffi has worked on various development systems and big data analysis projects in federal and commercial information technology consulting and regularly researches, publishes, and presents on emerging technology topics across a variety of legal subjects.
In addition to his present role at McDermott, Raffi teaches Artificial Intelligence Law and Policy at The George Washington University Law School.
Before joining McDermott, Raffi was senior counsel at an open-source research and development lab where he worked on investments and deals, treasury management, and regulatory compliance, among other matters.
