In September 2025, Mai Matsubara was featured as a legal expert on the EU Data Act in NIKKEI NEWS NEXT, a nightly news program aired on BS TV Tokyo. Her interview, portions of which were broadcast, addressed regulatory obligations related to data access and sharing mechanisms for connected products, as well as practical considerations for Japanese companies entering or operating in the EU market.
