Ron Holland commented on the California Court of Appeal’s decision to reverse a lower court’s ruling regarding pay for on-call workers. “In the meantime, employers in California that have call-in procedures of any kind will need to review their processes in light of the new interpretation of ‘report for work,’” said Holland. The decision, “if upheld, could have far-reaching consequences for how employers schedule and require employees to call in to work.”
