Mary Kay McCalla Martire said that she is pleased to see that the Illinois “Grand Bargain” to resolve the state budget crisis includes language to remove all taxes administered by Illinois from the state’s False Claims Act “Whether or not it’s going to be successful is hard to judge,” she added. “I hope it won’t be used as a bargaining chip.”
