Overview
Opened in 1934 as the Firm’s first office, our Chicago location continues to serve as a flagship for many of the Firm’s national and international practices. Like the city — which has made impressive strides from its industrial roots to its current status as a center for technological and commercial innovation — our Chicago office has evolved from its original focus on tax law. Today, our Chicago office includes legal teams focused on antitrust, banking and finance, corporate and securities, health, intellectual property, labor, employment and employee benefits, litigation, real estate, tax, white-collar defense and other areas of law.
We advise regional, US and international clients, including small, medium and large-cap privately held and publicly traded companies, as well as their owners, officers and directors in a wide range of industries from traditional manufacturing, food and agriculture, to the constantly evolving technology, financial services and health care sectors. We also counsel numerous non-profit and tax-exempt organizations, educational and research institutions, trade associations and charities.
Our practices and individual lawyers are regularly singled out by Chambers USA, The Legal 500, U.S. News-Best Lawyers, and other publications and organizations as top global providers of legal services. As part of a global, full-service law firm, the lawyers of our Chicago office are prepared to help clients wherever their business interests take them.
