Carol Harrington said that, no matter what the new President and Congress do regarding the estate tax, it is important for anyone to have a valid will – one that gives the executor or trustee leeway to make changes as the law evolves. Noting that any law changes may not be permanent Ms. Harrington added, “There may be continued uncertainty, even when Congress has acted.”
