Jeffrey Stone, as McDermott co-chairman, called 2015 “a very strong year as we go through a strategic refocus” that led to slightly lower revenue and higher profits. The Firm attracted more than 35 lateral partners during the year and Mr. Stone noted that “our inflow more than makes up for our outflow. A substantial portion of attrition [during the year] was at our urging or stemmed from a recognition that our focus is shifting from some areas.”
