Stanley Meadows, who is currently working on multiple stadium financing deals, said investment banks constitute “an expanded group of advisers looking at sports venues. They are very active in making proposals.” Because financing such projects “is a more complicated thing than a corporate debt financing,” he continued, the banks acting as advisers “want to place the debt. They don’t know if they will keep the debt. It’s an active market, especially as we see less governmental participation.”
