Daniel Gottlieb, commenting on criticisms of a leading electronic health record service provider that it charges too much to connect new users to its system, said, “I think you could level that accusation against any vendor. From what I see, [the company] isn’t any better or worse than the other vendors.” However, Mr. Gottlieb added that critics focus on the company’s costs because it’s the “10,000-pound gorilla” in the health records industry.
