Stephanie McCann and Leonard Klingbaum, corporate attorneys with expertise in private equity and bankruptcy, joined McDermott from another global law firm. “We have been quietly building and upgrading our private-equity capacity,” said Firm co-chair Peter Sacripanti. “We have also been building the bankruptcy practice, and one of the components of that is distressed debt.” Both Ms. McCann and Mr. Klingbaum said they were attracted by the prospect of helping to build out those practices—what Mr. Klingbaum called “a tremendous opportunity for growth.” Read the full article
