OIG Plan to Study Hospital Exec Pay Puts AHA on Alert

Ralph DeJong said that, although the Office of Inspector General plans to study hospital executive compensation to see if Medicare spending would decrease if there were limits on the compensation that the federal program will cover, provider organizations he has worked with are able to show their compensation policies “are competitive with market practice and are the result of a very supportable practice of demonstrating fair-market value.”
